Once you have decided to enroll at Canadian Career College, there are a few things you can do to prepare yourself and save money and time.
- Upgrade your English skills: this should include proper pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, proverbs and English expressions, in order for you to become fluent in written and spoken English. This will help you in your day-to-day living.
- Learn about the Canadian culture. You can get some ideas about it by watching American and Canadian TV shows and contemporary movies in English.
- Take some entry-level classes if you have little or no computer experience. In most programs, computer training will start with the basics, but it will save you time and be easier for you if you are aware of fundamental computer skills.
- Bring as many items here from your home country as you can. This may include warm clothing, alarm clock, boots, jeans, etc. It will reduce your expenses.
Living Costs in Canada
Students must meet both the costs of study and living in Canada. You will require approximately $1,000 per month, for each month's stay in Canada, to cover monthly living expenses. This amount includes food, accommodation, local transportation, medical insurance, clothing and sundries. The costs of Tuition Fee, books and material, industry certification exam fees, and transportation expenses back to your country are not included in this amount.
